God also says, "I will not break my covenant, Nor alter what my lips have uttered. To break a promise is the same as lying, and God cannot lie or do any sin. James warns us to take responsibility for our own temptation, saying, "Let no man say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted by God,' for God can't be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
If you are concerned about the bad things that do happen in the world, remember that humans have the unique ability of independent will, which is why evil happens in the world. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. And God will judge this evil, as Jesus explains in many of his parables, such as the Parable of the Weeds, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
However, remember not to confuse God being unable to break a deal with God answering a prayer. God is not a magic genie that he should obey our every wish and command. On the contrary, we are to be his servants, not the other way around. Dear Friend, In short, what you have to do for God to forgive you is to ask. Breaking promises to God is a very human thing to do.
We promise God that we will not be hateful, or selfish, or engage in unhealthy activities, and then we do and we feel awful - not only because we know the act is wrong, but because we broke our promise to our creator who loves us. The key to changing this pattern is twofold. The first is to deeply understand the act of repentance. Repentance is not just throwing up our hands and saying I'm sorry. Repentance involves truly admitting and understanding the nature of our mistakes, seeing the root causes of our wrongful activities and the consequences they have on other people and the world.
It also involves trying as best we can to mend the damage that has been done, and then asking for forgiveness from God and from the people we have hurt.
Repentance is work. The fact that we are sinful is not some kind of mean-spirited indictment; rather it is an admission of our fallibility. And because God knows we are sinful, God does forgive us. But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.
