How long is lakeshore

It was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be back to walk it again, with my boy Jasper. Nice park. I felt safe running alone on a weekday morning. Lots of walkers and dogs.

The paved trail is very rough with roots in a few places. Also a few steep hills and descents. The trail itself is nice.

You can pretty much smell it throughout the entire thing. Great evening walk for every member of the family. Nice, clean and safe place to walk. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms which are open M-F. The loop has park benches and some shady spots for taking a break. It is safe and clean. I love running here by myself because there are so many families and people out and about.

Such a great park with lots of people going on picnics, dog walking and playing with their kids, and even people with their hammocks in trees. The new HGTV overlook is starting to look really good! The new addition around the lake was very nice as well. The downside is that the concrete on the trail was not even and in some places you really need to watch where you step.

I recommend at least hybrid tires for this greenway due to the many bumpy parts of the path from nearby trees that have uprooted the blacktop. A few hills, a couple very steep and if the park is busy you will be dodging pedestrians at high speeds so be courteous and cautious.

I've walked this loop in the past and would prefer that over biking most days. Great park with a lot of side paths and roads to customize your walk. Friendly park with lots of families and lots to do. Easy walk.

Has a couple of steep areas but great view of the river with the Smokies in the distant. Very pretty - old lakeshore building- hills- people plz pick up your dog poop bags. Pleasant walking trail with some steep areas. Located in a park along Tennessee River. I walk my dog about three times a week on this greenway. It is very safe, high trafficked, and paved. Great for children and dog walking.

Use Navigator in the AllTrails app and join the other outdoor explorers who have completed this trail. Lakeshore Park Greenway easy Length 3. This is a great park with lots of people going on picnics, dog walking, playing with their kids, and even people with their hammocks in trees.

There are nice views of the Tennessee River and the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance with lots of parking available. Accessibility: There are 2 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Orchard Drive at the north end of the trail.

Both of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved asphalt and smooth. It is typically at least 6 feet wide. There are benches along the route for resting. Reviews Sort by:. October 13, Nice paved trail. Betesu Williams. October 11, Good walking trail.
